Packaging Info
I have arranged all my packaging details into a handy little list so you can find out quickly and easily what makes Bathe Enchanted an eco-friendly small business.
All products are packaged in 100% home compostable and biodegradable clear bags/wrap made from sustainably sourced wood pulp. Home compostable/biodegradable means these bags can be added to your garden compost waste and would biodegrade the same way a paper bag would curb-side. Unlike many so-called 'bioplastics', the bags we use do not need industrial composting conditions to decompose which the average consumer doesn't have access to. Alternatively you can add the bags to your recycling bin.
The bags/wrap is also marine safe so if it ever happened to devastatingly end up in the ocean as we know this is a huge issue, it would still biodegrade as not to harm aquatic wildlife. All bags are sealed with paper based labels that are also biodegradable.
Products are protected with potato starch based packing peanuts that can be disposed of by running warm water over them in your sink, these will biodegrade and actually be a source of food if they were to end up anywhere around wildlife. Alternatively you can pop them in your compost or in the soil of your plants to provide nutrients.
To ship orders I use cardboard boxes which are fully recyclable and biodegradable. The cardboard used to make the boxes is sustainably sourced and manufactured. Boxes are then sealed with biodegradable paper tape.
